On May 18, 2014, the finals of 2014 “Youth Cup” Hunan College Students Entrepreneurship Competition, co-organized by the Publicity Department of the Committee of Hunan Province CPC and the Education Department of Hunan Province etc, drew to a close in Central South University of Forestry & Technology, Hunan. Our university won one gold medal, two bronze medals and the Excellent Organization Award.

Since the start of the competition in February, 265 works has entered the finals. After the procedures of business plan assessment, on-site question & answer as well as public reply, three works of our university successfully entered the finals. The business plan of Yixin Childcare Center written by Li Jiadi and other 7 students from the Department of Education and Law (Ms. Zhang Hongwen as the adviser) won the gold medal, and will participate in the national competition on behalf of Hunan Province. Both the business plan of One-Stop Self Support Tourism Center written by the team of Xie Jun from the Department of Tourism (Mr. Liu Lihua as the adviser), and of “Landlady” Leasing Creative Store written by the team of Li Can from the Department of Literature and Media (Ms. Yang Chunfang as the adviser) won the bronze medals.

It is reported that the “Challenge Cup” National College Students Entrepreneurship Competition now in its 15^th year has changed its name to “Youth Cup” National College Students Entrepreneurship Competition this year. It will be held every two years. It aims to nurture the innovative sense and promote the enterprising competence of the college students. HWU has been attaching great importance to cultivating the students’ innovative competence in science. In the future, we will make greater efforts to provide the students with more opportunities to train their innovative sense.
