Honwon University

 

Howon University (www.howon.ac.kr) is a four-year comprehensive university located in Gunsan, which is the biggest and the most important seaport in Jeollabukdo. It was established in 1977 with more than 300 faculty members and 7000 students. Howon University has grown to 33 departments in 7 colleges including Tourism College, Social Science College etc, 8 affiliates including Library, Office of International Affairs, social education Center etc, and 9 institutes including Saemangum Tourism Research Center, and Institute of Auto Mobile Industry etc. Howon University was selected to promote the Education Capacity Enhancement Project (ECEP) in 2009 and 2010 by Korea Education Ministry and has recorded a high rate of employment for its students.

 

(Apr. 25^th,2013) Professor Choi Hyung Sik, Director of the Office of International Affairs, Pays a Visit to HWU and Signs an Exchange Memo with Gao Qinli, Director of the International Affairs Office of HWU .

 

(Dec.10th, 2013) President Luo Ting and President Kang Huiseong Signed the Agreement of Cooperation between Howon University and Hunan Women’s University.

 

(May 19^th-May 20^th,2015)Prof. Choi Hyung-Sik, Director of the Office of the International Affairs, and Prof. Lu Li of the International Affairs Had been on a visit to HWU to Discuss about the Potential Substantive Exchange Programs from May 19 to May 20 2015.
