On the afternoon of December 13 2013, an 8-person delegation of the National University of Malaysia (UKM) headed by Prof. Dato Dr. Asihah Bidin, dean of the Law School paid a visit to Hunan Women’s University (HWU). The meeting held on the Second Floor of the Office Building was presided over by Gao Qinli, director of the International Center. Those who participated in the meeting included Xiong Li, deputy dean of the International Education Center and the working staff of the International Center and the International Education Center.<?xml:namespace prefix = o />

At first, Ms. Gao Qinli gave a welcoming speech to the delegation. After that Ms. Xiong Li introduced the history, characteristics and achievements of Hunan Women’s University. Dr. Asihah Bidin extended her heartfelt gratitude to our university for the hospitality and then she gave a brief introduction to the history, specialties and the general situation of the Law School. Both parties discussed the objective of running universities and specialties and expressed the intention of cooperation. At last the delegation paid a visit to the Exhibition Hall of HWU’s Achievements and the Exhibition Hall of Women’s Education Development. Dr. Asihah Bidin signed in the visitor’s book and it said “Hunan Women’s University is a very interesting university. I really hope that we can become partners in the near future.”

The National University of Malaysia, founded in 1970, was located in Bandar Baru Bangi, Malaysia. It is a public university qualified for the enrolment of bachelors, masters and doctors. At present, the student enrolment is nearly 25,000. There are 13 faculties such as Law and Education, 12 centers such as Center for Information Technology and 14 institutes such as Institute of Occidental Studies.  The National University of Malaysia tops 78 in the World University Rankings issued by The Times in 2009.
