On the afternoon of December 2013, Vice Chairman Iita masako and Director Watanabe akira of the General Affairs Department of Japan Social Welfare Legal Person Furusatokai paid a visit to Hunan Women’s University. Vice President Li Junbo met with them and had a discussion on cooperation in the Second Meeting Room of the Office Building. The conference was presided over by Xiong Li, deputy director of the International Education Center. Those who participated in the meeting also included Gao Qinli, director of the International Center, Shao Hanqing, dean of the Department of Education and Law and Professor Ran Yi of Hunan Normal University and so on.<?xml:namespace prefix = o />

At first, Vice President Li Junbo gave a welcoming speech to the visitors. After that Ms. Gao Qinli introduced the history, characteristics and achievements of Hunan Women’s University and Mr. Shao Hanqing gave a brief introduction to the specialties of Social Work and Home Economics of the Department of Education and Law. Vice Chairman Iita masako extended her heartfelt gratitude to our university for the hospitality and then she gave an introduction to the general circumstance to Japan Social Welfare Legal Person Furusatokai. Both parties had a discussion on the details of the would-be cooperation such as the basic requirements of the students, Japanese language ability, pre-service training, insurance etc. Both parties looked forward to the further development of bilateral cooperative relations.

After the conference, Vice Chairman Iita masako gave a wonderful speech with the theme of Thoughts and Research on Solution of Senior Citizen Welfare to the students and teachers from the Department of Education and Law. It was about the laws and regulations on social welfare, history and current status of social welfare, and the conception of Japan Social Welfare Legal Person Furusatokai and so on.
     Japan Social Welfare Legal Person Furusatokai, located in Hikone County Shiga City, is a welfare center for the senior citizen appointed by the Shiga Government. It is divided into Furusatokai and Second Furusatokai. As the first welfare center with daily service, it has well-equipped facilities and advanced management. At present, it has established cooperative partnership with a diversity of colleges and universities around the world.
