On March 9th, 2013, the Evening of Awards of the First My Chinese Dream Hunan College Student Micro Film Competition was held in No.1 TV Studio of Hunan Education TV Station. Mr. Wang Kemin, head of the Education Department of Hunan Province attended the evening and gave the audience a speech. Hunan Women’s University won several awards such as Best Organization Award, Best Screenplay Award, Best Cameraman Award and Best Actress Award etc.<?xml:namespace prefix = o />
Vice President Zhou Meilin, on behalf of HWU, Received Best Organization Award
Lilacs Bloom by Ms. Feng Dan (teacher) and several students such as Liu Lei, Chen Bo, Shi Limin from the Department of Economic Management won Best Screenplay Award and Best Cameraman Award. Zhu Yinqian from the 2011 Aviation Service program of the Department of Tourism, who played the part of Xiao En in the micro film Post It Girl, was awarded the Best Actress and gave an acceptance speech on behalf of the actresses. Those Youth Time in Dreams by student Jiang Heyun from the Department of Accounting gained a prize for excellence. Due to our outstanding organizational work of the Propaganda Department and Youth League Committee, the Best Organization Award also went to our university.

The play writing, photography and post production of the films were all done independently by the students under the direction of the advisers. The students recorded the touching moments in life by camera shots of micro films to unfold the Chinese Dream in their minds. In Hunan, over 300 scripts and 129 micro films from more than 100 colleges and universities were collected and only 12 awards were voted. It was not easy for the students of our university to stand out and gain 4 awards. The success was the achievements of the construction of university culture of HWU and it reflected the youthful passion and positive mind-set of our students.
