On March 3rd 2014, President Luo Ting and President Tsutsui Sachiko signed the Agreement of Cooperation between Seisen University in Japan and Hunan Women’s University (HWU). On the morning of September 11, 2013, Professor Tang Lening from the Anthropology Department of Japan Seisen University gave the Japanese majors of HWU a lecture with the theme of Japanese Study and Japanese Marketing. After that, the Foreign Affairs Office of HWU has been keeping close connection with Seisen University for deeper mutual understanding. Due to the great efforts of both universities, agreement of cooperation has been reached.
Seisen University was founded in 1985 as a private university and began to offer undergraduate programs in 2003. It is located in Hikone, Shiga Prefecture of the Kansai region of Japan. There is Hikone castle which is a national treasure in the picturesque Hikone. It is on the shore of Biwa Lake, the biggest fresh lake in Japan. Seisen University with a student enrollment of more than 1000 has grown to two departments including Nursing Department and Anthropology Department, the latter of which has three programs i.e. clinical development psychology, health & sport psychology and creation of human occupation. At present, only Anthropology Department enrolls international students. Seisen University emphasizes employment competitiveness and qualification certificate so as to nurture talents active in the front lines of commercial society.
