The First Hunan Provincial Teaching Skill Competition for Teaching Majors was held in Hengyang Normal University on Nov.6^th, 2015, lasting for three days. Two out of the four participants of HWU won a Second Prize and a Third Prize.

The competition was hosted by the Education Department of Hunan Province and organized by Hengyang Normal University. It aimed to improve the teaching skills of the teaching majors, enhance the qualities of the teaching majors, and deepen the reform of normal education. There were four parts in the competition including teaching design, multi-media courseware making, ask & answer, and simulated teaching. All the 129 full time teaching majors from 23 colleges and universities in Hunan were divided into such three groups as the group of pre-school education, primary education and secondary education. After the fierce competition, Miss Huang Shan from the Foreign Languages Department won the Second Prize in the group of primary education while Miss Ma Yulu from the Education and Law Department won the Third Prize in the group of pre-school education.
