On December 4^th, 2015, the one-week International Student Exchange Exhibition which organized by the International Education Center of Hunan Women’s University, had successfully concluded. It aimed at showing the progress in international student exchange since 2010 when HWU was upgraded into a university from a junior college, and attracting more staff members and students to know and take part in the development of international exchange so as to promote the improvement of the internationalization of our university.

The exhibition was held on the Cultural Square on the North Campus of HWU, where a series of panels about the exchange in different countries were displayed. The students could also consult those students and staff members who took part in the international programs face to face. During this one week, three seminars of overseas study were also held. The representatives of the cooperative institutions were invited to give cultural lectures and detailed instructions of the programs.

The exhibition which boasted vivid pictures and rich contents attracted numerous students and teachers. Prof./Dr. Luo Ting, Chair of the University Council, attended exhibition in the company of vice president Li Junbo and Ms. Cheng Heping, assistant of the president, and appreciated the international student exchange in recent years. Furthermore, she hoped that all the staff members would work together to think about the future direction of developing the international exchange and make more progress.

Since 2010, HWU has established partnership and conducted exchange with a diversity of universities and institutions including East Central University in USA, one of the few universities which offer scholarship to the out-of-state students, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris in Malaysia and Kyushu Women’s University, very special in their programs, and some comprehensive universities such as UPM in Malaysia, Wooksuk University and Honwon University in South Korea, and Seisen University.

So far, about 200 students of HWU have international study experience in colleges and universities in USA, Russia, Japan, South Korea and Malaysia etc. (Written by Ms. Zhou Xiang from the International Education Center and Translated by Long Min from the International Affairs Office)
