On the evening of December 26^th, the 2016 “Spring Comes to Xiangjiang River “ New Year Concert organized by the Art Performance Department of Hunan Women’s University was held in the palatial Hunan Concert Hall. Those who attended the concert included the leaders and experts from the Publicity Department of Hunan Provincial Party Committee, Hunan Culture and Arts Association, Hunan Musicians Association, Hunan Provincial Education Department, Central South University and Hunan Normal University etc. Meticulous preparation and hard practice guaranteed the success of the concert, which effectively improved the teaching and learning spirit of the department.

The concert consisted of two parts. The first part with the theme of “Spring Comes to Xiangjiang River “ mainly expressed the beauty and vitality of Xiangjiang River; The second part whose theme is “the Affectionate Women in Hunan” chiefly reflected the charm and smartness rooted in the lives of the Hunan women due to Hunan, a remarkable place which produces outstanding people. The young female teachers expressed their feelings in the form of music.

December 26^th, 2015 coincided with the 122 anniversary of the birth of the great leader Chairman Mao. In order to commemorate his 122 anniversary, all the teachers sang together the song Cheer for Motherland, which culminated the concert.

The 15 programs in the concert fully showed the skillful performance of all the teachers from the Art Performance Department.
