Prof. Fu Hongmei Is Invited to Attend the 24th China and Korea International Conference on Ethics

The 24th China and Korea International Conference on Ethics co-hosted by Korea Association For Ethical Studies and China Association For Ethical Studies (CAES) was held at the Academy of Korean Studies from April 16 to April 22, 2016. There were two keynote reports and 16 sub-forums in the conference whose theme is Ethical Issue and Moral Education of Modern Society. More than 100 scholars from China and Korea attended the conference and widely and profoundly exchanged their views on the eastern and western ethics, contemporary social ethics, moral education, ecological ethics etc. Prof. Fu Hongmei who was invited to attend the conference submitted her paper, shared her viewpoint and participated in the practice and investigation of the moral education of the Korean people organized by the organizer.

The Academy of Korean Studies, the main venue of the conference, is a public university and research institute focusing the research on humanities and social sciences related to Korean studies, and the Korean cultural essence as well as the future developing trend of Korea, and aiming at training outstanding scholars of Korean studies. It has 4 faculties including 16 departments. There are 265 masters and doctoral students including 34 Chinese students. On the morning of April 18, the opening ceremony was held in the lecture hall of the Academy and President Li Peirong (former president of Ewha Womens University and now a part-time councilor of state) and vice president Li Xiangchen presented in the conference and delivered speeches.

Prof. Fu participated in 3 sub-forums including the Forum of Practical Ethics and Moral Education where she delivered a speech about her views of the paper Gender Culture Attribution and Its Ethical Reconstruction of Female Sexual Morality Anomie in Contemporary China. This sub-forum with a total of 25 ethical participants, and 9 speakers on their views of the paper, mainly involves family ethics, feminist ethics, ecological ethics, charity ethics, moral education and other issues. There were also three commentators and question-raisers in the sub-forum. The scholars speeches were wonderful, the comments and questions were brilliant and sharp, and the atmosphere was vivid and friendly.
