HWU Held the Third Council Meeting of China Women’s Universities Consortium

On November 18th, the third council meeting of China Women’s Universities Consortium(CWUC) was successfully held in HWU. The three directors-Ms. Liu Liqun, president of China Women’s University, Ms. Fan Suhua, president of Shangdong Women's University and Ms. Luo Ting, president of Hunan Women’s University- together with the consortium staffs and members attended the meeting. Liu presided over the meeting.

The meeting discussed and absorbed Zhang Huawei, dean of the Women’s Culture of Shanghai normal university, as a member of the council; and it appointed Kang Lin, director of the Party Affairs Office of HWU, as CWUC’s vice secretary general.

 During the meeting, Prof. Mo Wenbin, supervisor of HWU, reported the evaluation outcome of the papers from the third National Symposium on Female College Students Employment and Entrepreneurship(NSFCSEE). Among the total 162 papers, 86 of them were collected into conference proceeding and 36 were awarded.

Afterwards, Luo reported the preparation process and details of the NFSEES. Since October 2014, the leaders of HWU attached great importance and made continuous efforts to build a solid fundation for the host of the meeting. The meeting discussed the next round of NSFCSEE, and decided the organizer for it as well.

 In the next section, the vice secretary general and the office administrator of China Women’s University, Zhao Hao, reported the achievements of CWUC last year.

 Later on, Fan, Luo, together with Wang Lian, vice president of China Women’s University, Yang Suping, deputy party secretary of Jinling Women’s School of Nanjing Normal University, Zhanghua, dean of the Women’s Culture School of Shanghai Normal University, Wanglin, vice director of the Employment Guidance Center of Xi’an Peihua University and the meeting members from other colleges and universities shared administrative experience and thoughts. All of the member universities achieved a lot in talent training, science and research, social service, employment and entrepreneurship, etc in the first year of the 13th Five Year Plan.

At last, the meeting set goals to strengthen communication and information-sharing among the member universities, and to report the latest development to the CWUC secretariat for online promotion. The union would dedicate to absorb more highly educated female members to expand fame and influence. Furthermore, a platform for college students’ employment and innovation was set onto the agenda to help CWUC member universities to have better interaction in the future.
