On the morning of September 8^th 2017, chairman Lita masako and director Watanabe akira of the General Affairs Department of Japan Social Welfare Legal Person Furusatokai (JSWLPF) paid a visit to Hunan Women’s University to participate in the Farewell Meeting of the College Student One Year Internship Program at JSWLPF. President Yang Lanying, vice president Li Junbo, leaders and staff from the President’s Office, Teaching Affairs Office, International Affairs Office and the Education and Law Department, and student representatives also attended the meeting.

President Yang gave a welcoming speech to the visitors before she gave a brief introduction to Hunan Women’s University (HWU) and recalled the cooperative history between both sides. She pointed out that facing the international trend and opportunity of developing women’s higher education, HWU has been actively expanding the foreign exchange activities. Since the initial contact with JSWLPF in 2013, the College Student Internship Program has been another essential achievement. President Yang also told the students to seize the opportunity to work hard and improve themselves, and understand the Japanese society and culture so as to become envoys of friendship.

Miss Fu Qi, Home Economics major from the Education and Law Department gave a speech and expressed her determination and confidence of hard work at JSWLPF in the coming one year. The first batch program participants are eight students from the Home Economics and Social Work Programs of the Education and Law Department.

Chairman Lita masako and director Watanabe akira of JSWLPF also met the eight students before the formal meeting. They introduced the job description, daily time schedule, bed and board, salary and other related affairs in a detailed way. Besides, they also answered various questions raised by the students.

In 2014, Agreement of College Student Summer Vacation Voluntary Activity between both sides was signed and 17 students have taken part in the program so far. In January 2017, Agreement of Friendship has been signed. In March 2017, Agreement of College Student One Year Internship Program was signed again. In the future, our university will keep exploring more cooperative exchanges with more forms and layers.
