HWU Hosts Hunan Forum on Industry and Education of Elderly Care and Domestic Service on Nov.25, 2017.
On Nov.15, Hunan Forum of Industry and Education of Elderly Care and Domestic Service (2017) was held on Nov.15th. More than 1000 people presented in the forum including representatives from famous elderly care and domestic service enterprises such as Taikang Community and 58 Home, experts from Western Sydney University (WSU), Shih Chien University in Taiwan, Wuhan University, and National University of Defense Technology, and students and the teaching staff from lots of colleges and universities in Hunan.
The forum organized by HWU was supervised by Hunan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs. Leaders from the training center of Civil Affairs Ministry, Hunan Provincial Educational Department, Hunan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, Hunan Provincial Development and Reform Committee, Hunan Provincial Women’s Federation etc took part in the opening ceremony.
The objectives of the forum are as follows: Respond proactively to population ageing, and build a political system and social environment of caring and respecting the elderly. Promote integrated medical service and elderly care to accelerate the development of elderly care industry. Expand new types of smart elderly care service and develop and adopt intelligent hardware. Promote elderly care service to integrate with mobile web, cloud computing, internet of things and big data to innovate the service pattern of home-based elderly care.
In the forum, MOU between HWU and WSU was signed and a Cooperative Agreement between HWU and 58 Home was signed.
