During the period from Dec.10 to Dec. 14, 2017, at the invitation of Andong Science College and Dongguk University in South Korea, Deputy Chair Wu Luofu, Chen Junfan, dean of Art Performance Department, Li Wei, dean of Art Design Department and Jin Hu, lecturer of Tourism Management Department had been on a visit to Andong Science College and Dongguk University in South Korea for five days.
On Dec.11, the delegation visited Andong Science College, which is a technical college in Seohu-myeon, Andong City, North Gyeongsang province, South Korea. Unlike most technical colleges in South Korea, it began its existence as a public institution: Andong Nursing High School, which was founded in 1967. It became a general technical college in 1992. The school took on its current name, Andong Science College, in 1998. The 24 programs are all established according to the practical demands of various fields. The employment rate of the graduates ranks in the second place in South Korea. It has been enjoying close relations with a diversity of Korea-funded enterprises in China.
Quan Xiangrong, President of Andong Science College, Li Zhuyuan, director of the Industrial Coordination Office, Jiang Chengren, director of the International Affairs Office met the delegation and had an amiable conversation about program and lab construction, and interaction between the teaching staff and the students. Both sides held the view that there would be wide cooperative space between two institutions in image design, social welfare and pre-school education, and looked forward to promoting the development of related cooperative projects.
During Dec.12 to Dec.13, the delegation had been on a visit of Gyeongju Campus and Seoul Campus of Dongguk University, which is a private and comprehensive research university founded in 1906. It ranked in the 82 place in the QS World University Rankings in 2017. There are 12 colleges and 11 postgraduate institutes, among which programs relating to humanity and arts are in the top list of similar programs in South Korea. President Li Dayuan, Bai Xuexiang, director of the International Affairs Office, and Zheng Shengxun, section chief of the International Affairs Office of the Gyeongju Campus, and Liang Weijin from the International Affairs Office and Jin Fengzhu from the Art College of the Seoul Campus met the delegation.
