The 17th Hunan College English Speaking Contest was held in Hengyang Normal University from October 15 to 16. Due to its outstanding performance, the delegation of our university received the second prize in the group competition limited to junior colleges. In addition, our students achieved great accomplishments as follows: Chen Xiao majoring in E-commerce and Li Xiangni majoring in Foreign Tourism got the second prize in non-English majors’ competition; Sun Zhili majoring in Practical English won the first prize in English majors’ competition, thus chosen to participate in National Practical English Speaking Contest for Professional College Students on behalf of junior colleges in Hunan Province.
