First Batch of Students Went to Woosuk University in South Korea for International Study

On March 5th,2013, the first three students of Hunan Women’s University(HWU) has successfully arrived in Woosuk University in South Korea for a six-month international study with state scholarship.

The three students sent out by HWU are Liu Shu from the Tourism Management Department, Tan Jie from the Accounting Department and Chen Yutao from the Art and Design Department. They will stay for half a year to learn the language, culture and professional skills. According to the exchange and cooperation agreement signed between HWU and Woosuk University, the international students from HWU will enjoy several preferences like tuition fee remission. Moreover, they will take part in a diversity of cultural lectures and cultural experience activities held by Woosuk University. Since the exchange and cooperation agreement signed between two universities in 2012, and the two delegations’ exchange visit, this event has been another substantial exchange and cooperation between both universities.

 

Prior to the departure, Vice President Chen Chiping sent the students off by holding an informal meeting. On behalf of HWU, Vice President Chen enjoined on the students to be excellent cultural transmitters between the two countries and universities by cherishing opportunity and time to study hard and get acquainted with the society and culture of South Korea. The students also expressed their determination and confidence of working hard and revealing outstanding learning ability and spirit quality for the purpose of redounding to the good name of Hunan Women’s University.
