On Feb.14, 2017, the National Competency Standards Forum (NCS) co-held by South Korea Andong Science College and National Research Foundation of Korea was held at Andong Science College which is located in Andong City, the capital of North Gyeongsang Province and a centre of culture and folk traditions. Prof. Tan Zhiyong from the Art Design Department and Section Chief Liu Chao from the Foreign Affairs Office were invited to participate in the forum whose theme is “the Internationalization of NCS Education Process”. More than 60 participants from the Foreign Affairs Department of Gyeongsangbuk-do, Andong Hospital, National Research Foundation of Korea, Hunan University of Medicine and Hunan Women’s University attended the forum to discuss the cooperation and development of Sino-Korea international education.

In the forum, Ms. Liu Chao from the Foreign Affairs Office gave an introduction of our university in English. Prof. Tan Zhiyong from the Art Design Department lectured on the Feasibility of Exchanging Sino-Korea Academy Culture under the Background of Globalization, hoping to improve the research on the traditional oriental culture and enhance the humanistic connotations of both universities through study and academic exchange.

The professors from Andong Science College also gave lectures in the perspective of international exchange with the aim of promoting the cooperation between universities and enterprises, boosting the reformation of policies and institutions and reducing related obstacles in order to urge the internationalization of the educational exchange between China and South Korea.

Andong Science College and Hunan Women’s University became cooperative partners when it participated in the “The Week for Educational Exchange Week With the International Friendship Partners of Hunan, P.R.China 2016” co-held by the Foreign Affairs Office of Hunan Provincial People’s Government and Hunan Provincial Department of Education in October 2016. In December 2016, President Kwon Sang Yong led a delegation to our university and signed an agreement on student exchange. At present, the exchange program between both universities is in progress.
