Hunan Provincial Huxiang Women’s Culture Research Center, established in October 2010, is authorized by Hunan Provincial Leading Group of Philosophy and the Social Sciences and the Publicity Department of the Committee of Hunan Province C.C.P. It mainly focuses on the research of such three fields as the literature & culture, history & politics, and education of development of women in Hunan.

Adhering to the overall objectives of The Guideline of Implementing the Strategy of Strengthening Culture in Hunan published by both the People’s Government of Hunan Province and the Committee of Hunan Province C.C.P., i.e.Focusing on the target of prosperous people and strong province, promoting Hunan to be a province with great cultural advantages, cohesive force, communicative force, security force and competitiveness and providing sound Ideological guarantee, spiritual motivation, positive public opinion atmosphere and cultural environment for the economic and social development of the whole province, it will attach great importance to the research of women’s culture in Hunan and make contribution to the cultural construction of Hunan.

Those Leaders includes Mr. Li Xiangzhou, Deputy Director and Inspector of the Publicity Department of the Committee of Hunan Province C.C.P., Mr. Shen Jiyun, Deputy Director and Supervisor of the Education Department of Hunan Province, Ms.Xiao Bailing, President of Hunan Provincial Women’s Federation, and Zhou Fayuan, Party Secretary of Hunan Provincial Federation of Social Science Circles. Seminar of Women/Gender Theory and Research of Women’s Culture in Hunan & Provincial Key Construction Discipline of Comparative and World Literature is Held in Hunan Women’s University and Leaders in Hunan Delivers Speeches.
